Research Interests
Ren’s research focuses on metal additive manufacturing, particularly in Electron Beam Powder Bed Fusion (EB-PBF) and Laser Powder Bed Fusion (L-PBF). As an active member of the lab, he is also involved in CNC milling and conducts powder characterization using Optical Microscopy (OM), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS). Ren collaborates closely with experts in heat treatment and microstructure analysis, bringing a multi-disciplinary approach to his work.
