Adam Morgan is a doctoral electrical engineering student within the Future Renewable Electric Energy Delivery and Management (FREEDM) Systems Center within the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at North Carolina State University. He received his BS in Electrical Engineering in May 2013 at Binghamton University in New York. He is a member of the newly established Packaging Research in Electronic Energy Systems (PREES) Laboratory. His research interests include the simulation and fabrication of power electronic packaging topologies capable of high currents, high temperatures, and high voltages. He looks to utilize additive manufacturing techniques in order to develop unique packaging structures made up of metals, ceramics, and organic materials.
